What is Ketamine Therapy?
Ketamine therapy combines ketamine with therapeutic guidance to help you overcome entrenched patterns, process trauma, and rediscover purpose.
At InnerMost, we view ketamine as a catalyst for change, supported by expert clinicians to ensure lasting results.
Together, they can help you:
Break free from repetitive thought patterns.
Process and heal from trauma.
Reconnect with purpose and motivation.

Why Ketamine?
Ketamine has been shown to reduce depressive symptoms within hours, with relief lasting up to two weeks after a single treatment. For many, conventional medications like antidepressants suppress symptoms without addressing the deeper root causes of suffering—up to 85% of individuals don’t respond to these treatments.
- Ketamine is FDA-approved for therapeutic use in the United States.
- Ketamine is a safe, well-studied medicine that has been used in clinical settings for over 60 years.
- The World Health Organization lists ketamine as one of the 100 most essential medicines in the world.
Benefits
- Feel Relief: Restores brain connections impacted by stress and trauma, interrupts depressive cycles, and quiets intrusive thoughts.
- Gain Perspective: Surfaces insights, releases repressed emotions safely, and opens space for reflection, compassion, and healing.
- Create Lasting Change: Enhances neuroplasticity to support healthier patterns, lifestyle shifts, and renewed motivation for daily life and relationships.

FAQs
How is ketamine different from traditional antidepressants?
Unlike traditional antidepressants that can take weeks to work and often suppress symptoms, ketamine can provide rapid relief—sometimes within hours. Studies show that up to 85% of people don't respond fully to traditional antidepressants, while ketamine works through a different mechanism that addresses root causes rather than just masking symptoms.
Who is a good candidate for ketamine therapy?
Ketamine therapy may be beneficial for individuals with treatment-resistant depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, suicidal ideation, substance use disorders, and certain chronic conditions like Lyme disease or long COVID. We conduct thorough medical and psychological assessments to determine if this treatment is appropriate for you.
How long do the effects of ketamine last?
The antidepressant effects of ketamine can last anywhere from days to weeks after a single treatment. With our comprehensive approach including preparation and integration therapy, many patients experience sustained improvements. Most people benefit from an initial series of treatments followed by maintenance sessions as needed.
Is ketamine safe?
Yes, when administered by qualified professionals in appropriate settings. Ketamine has been used safely for over 60 years and is on the World Health Organization's list of essential medicines. We conduct thorough medical screenings and provide continuous monitoring during treatment to ensure your safety.
How should I prepare for my ketamine session?
We'll have a preparation session beforehand to set intentions and discuss what to expect. On the day of treatment, avoid alcohol and recreational drugs, eat a light meal 2-3 hours before, wear comfortable clothes, and arrange transportation home. We'll provide detailed preparation instructions.
How many sessions will I need?
This varies by individual. Many people start with an initial series of 6 treatments over 3-6 weeks, followed by maintenance sessions as needed. Some people benefit from ongoing ketamine-assisted psychotherapy sessions. We'll work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan and adjust it based on your response.

FAQs
Is Spravato covered by insurance?
Yes, Spravato is covered by most major insurance plans because it's FDA-approved for treatment-resistant depression and major depression with suicidal ideation. We'll help verify your benefits and work with your insurance company to maximize coverage for your treatment.
How is Spravato administered?
Spravato is self-administered as a nasal spray under the supervision of our clinical staff. You'll remain in our clinic for monitoring for at least 2 hours after each dose to ensure your safety and monitor for side effects.
How often will I need Spravato treatments?
Initially, Spravato is typically administered twice weekly for the first 4 weeks, then weekly or every other week for ongoing maintenance. The exact schedule will be determined by your response to treatment and your psychiatrist's recommendations.
What are the common side effects of Spravato?
Common side effects include dissociation, dizziness, nausea, sedation, and increased blood pressure. These effects typically occur shortly after administration and resolve within a few hours. That's why we monitor you for at least 2 hours after each treatment.
How quickly does Spravato work?
Many patients begin to notice improvement in depression symptoms within hours to days after starting Spravato treatment, though it may take several weeks to see the full benefits. This is much faster than traditional antidepressants, which can take 4-8 weeks to show effects.
Can I drive after a Spravato treatment?
No, you should not drive or operate machinery until the next day after a good night's sleep. Spravato can cause sedation, perceptual changes, and dissociation that can impair your ability to drive safely. We recommend arranging transportation home after each session.

Integration & Harm Reduction
Safe, confidential, and judgment-free support for psychedelic use and integration.
What is Integration & Harm Reduction?
We are committed to helping individuals engage with psychedelics more safely and intentionally.
Rather than judging or pathologizing use, harm reduction honors patient autonomy and focuses on minimizing risks and promoting well-being—through education, post-psychedelic experience support, and integration psychotherapy.
Tools to knowledge to navigate psychedelic use safely
Making meaning of your experience afterward
Meeting you with empathy and without judgment

Why is it important?
A pragmatic approach acknowledges that people are using psychedelics in underground contexts, recreationally, and even legally while abroad, but don’t have a psychedelic informed aftercare program in place. Instead of abstaining from helping people, we acknowledge this use is happening and meet people where they are—regardless of what society thinks about their life choices.
Benefits
- Mitigating harm and ensuring safety
- Optimizing the therapeutic benefits of psychedelic experiences
- Providing education to individuals and their support systems

FAQs
When should I schedule integration sessions?
Integration sessions are typically scheduled within 24-72 hours after a ketamine treatment, while the experience is still fresh. However, integration can be helpful weeks or even months later as you continue to process and implement changes. The timing depends on your individual needs and processing style.
What happens in an integration session?
Integration sessions involve discussing your experience, processing any emotions or insights that came up, identifying patterns or themes, and creating actionable plans for implementing positive changes. Your therapist will help you make sense of your experience and translate it into meaningful growth.
What is your harm reduction approach?
Our harm reduction approach focuses on safety, education, and non-judgmental support rather than prohibition. We provide accurate information, help minimize risks, offer support during challenging experiences, and assist with integration afterward—meeting you where you are without judgment.
Do you provide support during psychedelic experiences?
When our services launch, we'll offer real-time support for individuals navigating challenging psychedelic experiences. This includes compassionate guidance, grounding techniques, and stabilizing presence from trained professionals who understand non-ordinary states of consciousness.
Do you offer preparation services?
Yes, preparation services will be available to help you set intentions, prepare mentally and emotionally, understand what to expect, and create a safe framework for your experience. Proper preparation can significantly enhance the safety and benefit of transformative experiences.
How do you ensure privacy and confidentiality?
We maintain strict confidentiality standards and HIPAA compliance for all our services. For harm reduction support, you're not required to share personal information—not even your name. We prioritize your privacy while providing the support you need in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
